Description of the different functionalities and their impact on the other windows/menus of Metis.
+
In Metis Smart Suite, Profile Groups are containers for a selection of all other Profile types. In the Profile Group menu, the administrator can define and manage the Profile Group which will be enabled for a group of users, as shown in the following example:
-
Creating a Profil Group
-
Modifying a Profil Group
+

-
Deleting a Profil Group
+

 +
The Profile Groups defined in this menu can then be attributed at a version level to Metis Smart Quotes users.
 +

 +

 +
The left hand part of the Profile Group window allows the administrator to search for a Profile Group by its profile name; the full profile name is not necessary. The administrator can enter some characters and the search function returns all the entries that contains the entered characters. The search results are listed under the Search button. After a search, the search button is greyed out until the search criterion is modified. If the administrator selects an entry in the search result, the profile is automatically selected in the Profiles table.
 +

 +

 +
The Profile Group table consist of a list of all defined Profile Groups. The contents of this list is sorted in alphabetical order. The order cannot be modified.
 +

 +
The properties of a profile consist of:
 +
* the profile name
 +
* the main and additional profiles
 +

 +

 +

 +
Adding a Profile Group
 +

 +
To create a new profile, the administrator can click on the "Add" button . The Profile Group window appears as shown in the following example:

 +

 +

 +

 +

 +
The administrator must provide a valid name for the profile to be able to save it. A pop up appears if the administrator tries to save the profile with the Profile Name field left blank or if the name already exists. The service model profile table contains the service models that have been imported and made available for the version.
 +

 +
Within the displayed table the administrator can select profiles from each type to set as part of the group. Those settings are separated into two categories:
 +
* Main Profiles : The profiles linked here represent the default values for the group, i.e. the once on the parent version level.
 +
* Additional Profiles : The profiles linked here represent the values for the group based on the set of positions, hierarchies, models, price categories and variants imported within the version.

 +

 +

 +
By default, the profile name field displays the name of the profile which has been duplicated. The administrator must provide another name for the profile as it is not possible to provide a profile name that already exists. If the administrator tries to do so, a pop-up window appears when trying to save the profile.
 +

 +
The administrator can then define the properties of the new profile (i.e. the authorized service models).
